Wicked Walkabout is authored by Jane Barnes, and is a travel blog with a strong focus on experiences within Victoria.
Remote high country regions, some of the best beaches in the country, an awesome capital city and fabulous country towns. What is there not to love about this state?
Extensive solo and family travel both locally and internationally as well as having established a Backpacker Tour Bus company some years ago gives me a positive insight into both sides of travel and a keen interest in actively promoting tourism within Australia.

Our children are growing up experiencing a variety of travel modes from vintage caravanning with our 1959 Bondwood van, camping in tents as well as under the stars, sleeping out in hammocks and staying in regular accommodation.
We spent 10 months on the road in Europe, the UK and North Africa in 2015 which provided our kids with priceless memories and understanding of various cultures.

Wicked Walkabout have worked with Webjet and numerous companies, promoting major tourist destinations such as:
Old Melbourne Gaol & Pollywoodside Historic Sailing Ship
Puffing Billy Railway
Geelong Adventure Park
Mornington Peninsula Adventure Park
The Otway Fly
Trees Adventure Parks in the Otways and Dandenong Ranges

Two niche tourism sites have been established to further promote our home state of Victoria:
Explore the Dandenongs (https://explorethedandenongs.com.au) This is our home region, and the site is aimed at encouraging visitors to the area to use the many walking trails.
Explore the Great Ocean Road (https://explorethegreatoceanroad.com.au) The latest site to our portfolio. As a former tour bus operator/driver, concentrating on this world-famous coastal drive, the website contains travel itineraries and information on what to see and do when visiting the area.
