Deborah and partner Simon Mallender are passionate ocean advocates and launched Diveplanit to encourage more people to get underwater and start exploring. Diveplanit’s mission is to create more ocean ambassadors – people with a greater understanding, appreciation and advocacy for our oceans.
The idea for DivePlanIt came about after Simon and Deb’s first Big Excursion – to Palau, when they discovered that detailed, practical information about the rather remote destination they were visiting was harder to find than it should be.
We provide rich media content on snorkelling and scuba diving destinations and dive sites, the dive centres that serve them, and all the information you need on how to travel to those destinations, where to stay, where to eat – even what to do on your no-dive days. The content is also designed to give you an appreciation of the marine environment, underwater habitat and what sea creatures can be found there.


We’re Alesha and Jarryd, the founders, award-winning writers, photographers and happily-married couple behind Australia’s biggest adventure travel blog, NOMADasaurus. We also run a digital media and marketing business, Peak Evolution Media.

Over the last 10 years travelling the world non-stop, we’ve worked in ski resorts, lived in a campervan crossing Canada, worked on a yacht in the Caribbean, ridden motorbikes 15’000km around Southeast Asia, hitchhiked through Tibet and Mongolia, road tripped along the border of Tajikistan and Afghanistan, traversed the Caspian Sea in a cargo ship, went from Thailand to Turkey without taking a single flight, driven through Europe, taken trains across Australia, took an expedition to Antarctica, trekked around Patagonia, travelled South America by land, sailed around the Galapagos Islands and camped on the Great Wall of China. But our best memory – getting engaged inside Hang Son Doong, the largest cave in the world.

Who Am I

I’m Vicki, a medical negligence lawyer who created MakeTimeToSeeTheWorld to document my travel adventures alongside my regular 9-5 (although if any lawyers out there are actually working those hours – good for them!). Over the past 10 years I have visited 150+ cities in 41 countries and I am determined to keep my country count above my age.

My style of travel has always been to get the best out of a destination as a time poor traveler making the most of my limited vacation days and all without breaking the bank!

I am lucky enough that my success with my site now allow me to run it on a full time basis, but I continue to focus on part-time travel for busy people and over 100,000 visitors a month look to me for guidance on where to save and where to splurge to ensure they have the most amazing travel experiences in whatever time they have.
